Hierarchic Selection traces the foundations of the core  social substructures of Kalikasan, Kakanyahan, Kabuhayan at Paniniwala to the even more basic building blocks of Biology, Physics and Ethics. It attempts to construct a coherent template with which to make sense of the confrontations that chart the major plots of the story of the inhabitants of the Earth.  Everywhere in the world, societies such us ours operate according to a complex ranking system that promotes ecological, personal, economic and ideological strife.  If we are to stem the winds of war in the hope of forging peace, the general public, particularly the young, has to step up and step in.  And Step No.1 is popular instruction.

The Development of Social Superstructures

The social substructures of Ecology, Birth and Person, Economics and Belief Systems manifest themselves in all aspects of human endeavor.  In Taxonomy, Pedagogy, Communities and Institutions, individuals and groups vie for supremacy in the layers and layers of crisscrossing ladders of social stature and privilege. Those who hope to build a world where people eagerly give to society according to their capacities and where  each one is in turn accorded according to one’s needs, wherein humans are at peace with nature and at home in their diversities, had better be prepared for the long haul.  And since the battles are fought in the terrains of social superstructures, we will do well to know the terrain well.
